So today, on my way home from school, I heard about the shooting in Connecticut.

And I didn't think my hatred for the human race could be any greater, but in all honesty, this takes the cake. I don't know how someone could walk into a school, look a five-year-old in the face, and pull the trigger.

Now, I guess not all people are horrible. But just recently, tragedy struck my hometown with the death of a young boy. I don't live anywhere near Connecticut, but to think about all of those families affected by this monster, it makes me sick.

If any of you are some of those people, I am incredibly, deeply sorry. There are not enough words for me to explain how deep my condolences are for you. And I realize that it doesn't change a thing; there's nothing I could say or do that will fix the ultimate unjust that has been done today. But I want you to know that I really, truly am sorry.

Stay safe, everyone.

Think of the guy in Sweden that killed some 70 kids not to long ago. I could go on about that for ages, but it's worth mentioning that he didn't get the death penalty. He just got some 30 years in prison, and all he did was laugh at the court.

I would say yeah, a ton of people out there suck and i feel for all the people that aren't having their kids come hom tonight. But there is nothing that we can do. Except go out and buy a gun of our own to protect ourselves from the worst of our race.

And even then, what makes their life less valuable than yours? Like, let's say somebody comes at you with a gun. You can shoot him, or he can shoot you. But no matter what, somebody's getting shot. And then you're in the exact same position as he was ten minutes ago when he pulled the trigger on someone else; nobody's life is more valuable than another's.

Forgive me if i sound like an ass for this, but i would say that in that case i would have more "value" than someone charging me with a gun. I didn't go around killing a bunch of students. If i had the power i would have stopped something like that. I think it was Animal Farm that said all people are born equal, but some are more equal than others.

I know how you feel, hearing these things make me wonder why humans are still here. The race of ours is ruthless, cruel, and destructive. The way some of us act makes us look like wild animals. As humans we're able to resist the temptations that animals can't resist, but it's our choice. This is disgusting and of course some choose better than others, but this is terrible. At least we know that those who were killed are out of this terrible nightmare we humans call home.

I agree completely. We are the most horrific example of what intellect can turn to. We are the only species on the planet that get involved in wide-scale murders like this. For example, lions will fight for control of a pride, but it will be a one-on-one fight. And when it's done, it's done. Wolves fight for dominance in a pack, but rarely is it more than two or three in the skirmish. Rams butt heads over females, but that hardly ever leads to death. You can see it everywhere; animals do fight amongst themselves, but NOT to any extent that humans do. Never will you see a leopard leaving his territory, purposely seeking out a female, and killing her cubs. We are just ugly, horrible things.

we are sickening because we have intelligence that isn't ever used right by the look of it. These kids will never know the wonders of life and won't get to grow up and learn from their mistakes. I can barely think that I am of the same specis of the horrific monsters who did this and I don't know how they can walk away from this. I don't know what they're gaining. satisfaction? pleasure? power? This is terrible and I don't understand why we kill so much... It is truly unreasonable and I hope that these killers are sitting around feeling sorry for what they've done because in no way will I- and many others- ever find such a crime to be okay. Killing so many small children for whatever reason they had. Never would any other creature I know just kill without reason like we do. I don't understand humans and I don't think I ever will.

All of this makes me paranoid to go to school next Friday since it's "the end of the world". I'm afraid someone is going to come into my school with guns blazing and shoot everybody because "the world will end anyway".

Wow, I never even thought about that. I don't have school on the 21, but I do have it on the 20. But now that you mention it, that is scary to think about. You never know who's so far off the mental cliff that they think anything along those lines is reasonable.

I feel the exact same thing, oh my god, to those families who lost their little ones to that fawking asshole human being!
He will forever suffer and burn in hell for the things he did to those innocent people and children >:(
It makes me ashamed to say i am a human being. What is wrong with people!?! DX
